Ya Can't Take It With You

We spent the Holiday weekend moving - always an adventure! (Notice the white tail sticking out on the right - that would be the D-Man....helping) As we filled the moving boxes with our "stuff", we made give away piles, storage piles, and then there were the things that are important to us. We're pretty simple people and truly understand that worldly possessions mean nothing in the end; but of our belongings it was very apparent what is significant to each of us.

For Zac - it is his immense collection of music, albums in mint condition, collector's items from bands and concerts, and our collection of movies. Then theres E.T., Chewbacca, and the Abominable Snowman (don't ask....)

For me - pictures, my Grandmother's china passed down through generations - and books, and books, and books. To me, a book isn't just something to pass the time or a hobby - it's a passion and near obsession. The prose within these titles have the power to move generations, start a riot, fuel a revolution, or challenge your perception of the world...Up from Slavery, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Alchemist, A Testament of Hope, The Invisible Man, East of Eden, The Confessions of St. Augustine, The Picture of Dorian Gray....the list goes on. I ended up filling 2 1/2 large boxes of books, the mover's weren't very happy with me. Who knew you couldn't do that?

@Emily - Thanks for the kind words - I am for sure borderline obsessed...sometimes I'll work late into the night..then stay up a couple more hours just to find a "stopping point" in my latest read. ;)

I had no idea you are an aspiring actress - that is SO AMAZING! Go girl!!!!!
