Confession: I like watching the Winter Olympics better than the Summer Olympics!! My favorite sports to watch - Snowboarding, Ski Jumping, Freestyle Skiing & Speed Skating. So far one of my favorite athletes to watch was Apolo Anton Ohno in the Men's semifinal short track speed skating.
For the first half of the race Apolo sat back in last place and watched the competition ahead of him. They changed positions, fought for first place, and weaved in an out of each other. It was down to the final laps when Apolo made his calculated move and raced ahead of everyone, and sailed across the finish line far ahead of the other skaters. It looked like it was planned from the beginning - he accomplished the feat with grace, efficiency, calmness, and accuracy. It looked effortless.
